The ‘shiny glass’ stood there

Thinking of the drink

Someone will come

And pour some bottles full of kink

No matter what

The table had in mind

Covered with cloth

It sure wasn’t going to bind

The ‘poor’ shiny glass

Had nothing to fuss about

Blended in a room

Occupied by more than few of the tout.

There were waiters

Adored the glass for its shine

Nothing were they allowed

People were there for some fine dine

The usual days;

“Summer chills and winter heat”

‘Passed by’ like nothing

Surely.. “The time must have be in a mood to cheat

Finally it happened..

A slight jerk of excitement

Threw the glass off balance

Shattered it into pieces on the floor of commitment

Replacing the glass

For it was easy

Many were there waiting

To get all dizzy.

“Still! (another) shiny glass stood there……!!!”
